'Who is God, The Father's Heart'

We know Jesus, but who is God our Father?. You know, the New Testament gives us a good picture of what and who Jesus is, but, where do we get a good picture of the Father God, to whom Jesus opens the door for us?
In the New Testament Jesus gives us quite a few clues to the Fathers heart.

In the Old Testament we can easily create a picture of a fierce, angry God that loves fighting wars and swallows up His own chosen people by opening up the ground. But this is not the picture Jesus seems to paint for us in the New Testament. I would like to paint a picture for you that I believe Jesus was painting for us, of our Father in heaven. See if you can  follow....
Firstly, in John 5:19.19Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
I think, we can clearly see here that Jesus can only demonstrate what He see's the Father doing. Secondly, in Jn15:9.9‘As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.'  Here we can see, that Jesus demonstrates His love, by the love that was shown to Him by the Father. Thirdly, in 1Jn4:16...'"God is love'. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them". So, we can see 'God is love', Jesus loves as the Father loves and can only do what He sees the Father doing. I believe this is doctrinally sound and not an assumption.
Now I would like to take you over to the story of Jesus washing His disciples feet, where Jesus said to Peter" if you do not let me wash your feet you have no part of me." , now, Jesus only can do what he see's the Father doing, and demonstrates the Fathers love to us. Lets take it a step further, can you imagine entering the gates of heaven and your Father God, your creator is waiting there for you, embraces you and starts to wash your feet.
This is profound to me and nearly makes me cry.
(What I've written here is a modified version of a revelation given to Ps.Jack Frost on 'Experiencing the Fathers Embrace')
